Event Manager

[Part time / Contract]

We are looking for an experienced Event Manager to manage our client’s events on a 10 week contract (27 January - 2 April 2026) while our Director takes leave.

We are looking for someone who is self-driven, happy to work autonomously and has great people skills.

This if for you if you are an experienced event manager looking for a flexible part time contract and would enjoy the responsibility of managing the business and being the point of contact for our clients.

This is a part time position, 15 hours a week to be spread over 3-4 days, and most hours can be done remotely. There are 2 weeks of onsite event management required in Sydney with extended hours:

  • 16th-19th March 2026 (approx. 10-12 hours per day)

  • 23rd-27th March 2026 (approx. 12-14 hours per day)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years’ event management experience

  • 2-3+ years conference management experience  

  • Experience as the sole Event Manager/Director onsite at events

  • Qualifications in event management

However please note we are looking for the right personality fit and these are all preferred but not essential.

You will be someone who:

  • Has strong people skills to manage client and supplier relationships

  • Delivers a great experience for guests whilst managing client expectations and logistics

  • Can think and adapt under pressure when plans change

  • Is confident – you can handle responsibility and calm stressed clients

  • Is humble – you don’t seek the limelight or need validation
